As Halloween approaches, Verona offers an array of exciting events and spooky activities to celebrate the eerie night. There’s something for everyone, from theater performances to outdoor adventures and thrilling amusement park events.

Theater and cinema

Halloween in Verona kicks off with a unique theater performance. On Tuesday, October 29, Teatro Satiro Off presents Un tranquillo martedì di paura (“A Quiet Tuesday of Fear”). This fully improvised show will feature five actors and a musician, guiding the audience through a hilarious journey of fears and phobias. The performance will explore whether we can truly laugh at our deepest fears.

Horror in Rock: Spin-Off Halloween at Isola della Scala on Thursday, October 31, is a must-see. This event celebrates horror master Dario Argento with a night of film, literature, and live music. Mirella D’Angelo, an actress and author Antonio Tentori, will be a special guests. During the evening, writers will present their horror-themed novels, followed by live music inspired by legendary horror soundtracks.

Outdoor activities

Visitors to the Garden of Bussolengo can experience the spookiest night of the year in an imaginative pumpkin field. Daily activities include games, animations, and a huge maze spanning over 2,600 square meters, complete with pumpkins ready for harvesting. The Flover Farm is open Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on weekends and October 31 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., welcoming families and friends to enjoy fall fun and fright.

Halloween-Themed parks

Gardaland and Movieland are gearing up with extended hours and special attractions for thrill seekers.

Gardaland will be open until midnight, with Halloween-themed events and an Evening Halloween Party beginning at 6 p.m. in Piazza Jumanji, with live music and a DJ set, culminating in a fireworks show. Wreckage: The Horror Experience at Gardaland is also open until November 3, and players are tasked with saving the crew of a crashed starship in an exciting, time-sensitive mission.

Movieland’s Halloween activities include the Halloween Dance Party, which features a DJ and themed costumes. Fans of strong adrenaline can visit the Berghel Mental Hospital (18+), a horror maze exclusively for adults. Visitors explore weird encounters and gruesome experiments in a sinister 1950s institution run by the enigmatic Father Josef and the vicious Dr. Arden. By the end, Father Josef will determine each visitor’s fate: escape or permanent confinement within the asylum’s frightening walls.
