It is going to be a great opportunity of consolidation for Italian wine in the American market with Vinitaly.USA (https://www.vinitalyusa.com/), scheduled at Navy Pier in Chicago next 20 and 21 October 2024. After last year’s zero edition, the stars and stripes fair debut of Veronafiere and Fiere Italiane will be presented with a b2b format for an Italy of wine that intends to outstrip its direct French competitors.

The general schedule for Vinitaly.USA includes more than 30 events over two days (Sunday 20 and Monday 21) including masterclasses, tastings and market focuses, starting with the regions attending the first edition of the show. The primary objective for the Italian team will be matching with a selected American demand made up of importers (including the National Association of Beverage Importers, Terlato Wine Group, Banville Wine Merchants, Winbow Imports, Opici Wines and Spirits, Winesellers Ltd), distributors, large-scale distribution and restaurateurs. The participation of opinion leaders, influencers and trade press was also significant.

On the market side, the absolute protagonist on Sunday 20 is the Business forum promoted by ITA-Italian Trade Agency in collaboration with NABI (National Association of Beverage Importers) on the theme ‘Between Tradition and Innovation’: the Future of Italian Wine in the US Market’ at which analysts and the main players in supply and demand are expected to speak.

Among the numerous guided masterclasses will be those of Decanter with Michaela Morris who will sign the tasting of the six wines awarded at the World Wine Awards. There will also be a product focus with the walkaround tasting, a preview for foreign countries, of the labels awarded Tre Bicchieri by Gambero Rosso in the 38th Guida Vini d’Italia 2025 and with two masterclasses organised by Italy’s leading wine magazine dedicated respectively to the ‘Best of the Best’ (wines that have won a special award in the 2025 Guide) and the ‘First Time Tre Bicchieri’ (labels that have entered the prestigious guide for the first time).
