In the halls of Eataly, on the first floor of the marvellously renovated old ice house in Borgo Roma, a district on the outskirts of Verona, the exhibition «Fortunato Depero. Sete di futurismo, fame d’America» (Fortunato Depero. Thirst for futurism, hunger for America).

A grand reopening for Earth Foundation‘s new artistic season that traces a chronological line of food-related production by the great Trentino artist Fortunato Depero (1892 -1960). The project, which includes a wide selection taken from the Futurist heritage conserved at the Mart museum in Rovereto, traces the evolutionary arc of Depero’s artistic research from the 1910s to the 1950s, paying particular attention to themes linked to the food and the places where it is consumed.

Among prints, drawings, posters, advertisements, and furnishing materials, the exhibition traverses the dense production of Fortunato Depero, who succeeded in transforming advertising into an art form, linking himself to great Italian brands, whose history (and fortune) he then made.
