The 55th edition of the Fiera del Riso was officially inaugurated last night in Isola della Scala, marking the start of Italy’s largest risotto and rice festival. Running until Sunday, October 13th, the event promises a rich mix of traditional Veronese cuisine, family-friendly activities, exhibitions, presentations, and entertainment. One of the major attractions this year is the Taste of Earth international section, which highlights world cuisines and cultures.

At the heart of the festival is the Nano Vialone Veronese rice, the star ingredient in many of the traditional dishes served throughout the event. This year’s edition will feature recipes with decades of history, prepared by some of Italy’s and the world’s best chefs. The Masters Risottari, renowned for crafting thousands of risottos, will once again showcase their culinary expertise, cooking with the same care and tradition as they would for their families.

The Taste of Earth section will welcome exhibitors from various countries, each showcasing their local products, cultures, and flavors. The third edition of this international segment includes a series of initiatives such as conferences, seminars, and cultural and culinary presentations, with a special focus on sustainability. The event will highlight the importance of eco-friendly and high-quality eating habits, while also addressing the environmental impact of food production.
