The Archeonaute Association is organising an archaeological tour entitled Verona Sotterranea (Underground Verona) on Sunday 22 September 2024 at 3pm. The itinerary includes all of our archaeological areas and begins at the Roman Villa of Valdonega, outside the walls, where the remains of a magnificent suburban villa await us, the best known of the various complexes that must have populated the slopes of the hills that surrounded the city of Verona, close to the Adige River.

Towards the second stop, the archaeological area of the Cryptoporticus of Corte Sgarzerie (newt to Piazza Erbe), to complete the knowledge of the ancient city by immersing ourselves in the context of the Roman Forum – Foro Romano, and in particular the Capitolium, the city’s main temple dedicated to the three divinities Jupiter, Minerva and Juno.
