Alpo Basket 99 announces its first major signing for the upcoming Serie A1 season: the arrival of Erin Elizabeth Mathias, born in 1995 and standing at 195 cm. Mathias is the first American player in the history of Alpo Basket to wear white-blue colours.
Mathias is a center who graduated from the prestigious Duke University. She arrived in Italy in 2018, recruited by Scotti Empoli, where she played three seasons in Serie A1, averaging 12.5 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. She then moved to Luxembourg, playing for Gréngewald Hueschtert and averaging 16.5 points and 11.6 rebounds. After three years, she is returning to Italy.
