It will be a weekend of great challenges for Verona, where people with different abilities will arrive from Germany, Austria, Albania, and even Tel Aviv, to share moments of fun, games, culture, and the unmissable sport.
The 29th edition of “La Grande Sfida” (“The Big Challange”) is not afraid of bad weather and is ready to cheer up the old town centre, which on Saturday and Sunday will welcome hundreds of international and local guests, united in disability, and in the common desire to propose and share it as a different ability.
This year the motto of the event is ‘Let us not be alone’, an invitation so that we can all do something to alleviate the loneliness of the other. On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 3.30 p.m. to 9 p.m., dance, music and choirs will generate beauty in the streets of Verona’s historic centre.
In the shop windows of the city centre, one can admire works, paintings and handicraft objects made by people attending the local day care centres. On Sunday from 2.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Piazza Bra sports activities and games open to all, to bring the message that it is possible to be reborn through sport.
