The “FAI un giro in Villa” (Do a tour in Villa) event returns for its eighth year. This program, organized by the non-profit foundation FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano), lets visitors explore Venetian homes through excursions that highlight their tight connection to the natural surroundings. There will be eight appointments in all, allowing people to see residences that are normally closed to the public. The trips will take place in May and June. The funds raised will be used to restore the mountain pasture and meadows of Monte Fontana Secca, near Quero Vas (Belluno).
On Sunday, May 12, the journey kicks off with a double event: at Villa Torni in Mogliano Veneto (Treviso) and at Villa Boschi in Isola della Scala (Verona). Villa Bogdano in Portogruaro (Venezia) will open its doors on Sunday, May 19, while another appointment at the Barchessa di Villa Carrer in Porto Viro (Rovigo) will be on Sunday, May 26.
The tour continues on June 16 at Villa Ca’ Erizzo Luca in Bassano del Grappa (Vicenza), and on Sunday, June 23, the tour continues in Vicenza city at Villa Squarzi. The FAI Youth Group of Belluno will finally inaugurate Villa Tauro, popularly known as “delle Centenere,” in Cesiomaggiore (Belluno) on June 30, closing up this incredible journey. A unique reservation-only visit to Villa dei Vescovi, a FAI property in Luvigliano di Torreglia (Padova), will also take place on the same occasion.
