The best of the bike world will gather in Garda Trentino on May 2–5 for the highly anticipated Bike Festival Riva del Garda, which draws thousands of cyclists and visitors from all over Europe each year. There will be races, stunning routes, and 1,500 bikes to try on, as well as party evenings and bike shows that will leave you speechless. The exhibition section is unmissable, with over 350 brands. But this year’s novelty is the Bike Festival Award, a competition in which manufacturers can present their best product in 2024. Four models in particular will be eligible to take part: full mountain bikes, front mountain bikes, eMTBs, and gravel bikes.
Races at the Bike Festival Riva del Garda
There will be a variety of races to choose from on Friday, May 3, Saturday, May 4, and Sunday, May 5. The Bosch eMTB Challenge, scheduled for Friday, will combine climbs, descents, and sense of direction using pedal power. There will be two categories offered: advanced and amateur. On the same day, for gravel enthusiasts, there will be a short and long route, both immersed in Trentino’s vineyards and picturesque villages, with an interesting break: instead of the traditional refreshment, at the halfway point, there will be the opportunity to taste Trentino specialties.
Then, on Saturday, May 4, the highly anticipated Bike Marathon will take place, with 1,500 participants competing in three routes, each with a different intensity and length but all suitable for both athletes and amateurs. Lastly, on Sunday, May 5, there will be space for the little ones with the Scott Junior Trophy, which is designed for children aged 3 to 14 and will allow them to race around the Miralago Park course.
Three side events between celebration and adrenaline
It begins with adrenaline, which will accompany participants throughout the festival days. The Trial & BMX X-Sports Show will be presented by the French team Yohan Triboulat, who will combine wonder with pure action. On Saturday night, the party begins as early as 6 p.m. and continues late into the night. It starts at the Expo Area of Riva del Garda with an open night featuring music, DJs, food, and drinks. Then, at 10 p.m., the party arrives at Olivi Beach for a DJ set under the stars.
