Three more meetings are scheduled to go back in time and space to prehistory. Verona has created “4 passi nella Preistoria” (“4 Steps into Prehistory”), a family-friendly, free initiative that includes events in the Museo Archeologico Nazionale (National Archaeological Museum) and the Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museums). There will be a central topic for every session, which runs from 2:30 to 5 p.m. in the afternoon. In particular, on Sunday, March 24, the topic will be the sometimes overlooked utility of items in museums; on Sunday, April 28, it will be the creation of colors, which has always captivated people; and on Sunday, May 26, it will be the turn of trade in the prehistoric world.

Amidst the diverse array of archeological discoveries, a few exhibit apparent utility right away, while others have hidden purposes. There are other items whose initial function is completely unrelated to what one may anticipate. The artifacts’ many uses provide us with an intriguing insight into the diversity of human inventions throughout history.
“The Magic of Colors” will be the next event, which is scheduled for Sunday, April 28. Human attention has always been drawn to the intriguing world of colors, whether they are the result of chemical reactions or human manipulation. Prehistoric artifacts, which attest to the important use of color in earlier times, are a manifestation of this passion.
In conclusion, “Let’s Swap Places” will take place on Sunday, May 26. A story of trade in the prehistoric world is revealed by the exhibits. The program is intended for kids between the ages of 6 and 11 who are accompanied by adults. The sessions are free of charge; however, reservations must be made in writing to segreteriadidattica@comune.verona.it, and you must pay the entrance fee at the museums. For those under 18, admission to the museum is free; for those between the ages of 18 and 25, a ticket costs 2 euros; for those over 25, the Museo di Storia Naturale costs 4 euros, and the Museo Archeologico costs 5 euros.
