The world’s largest meeting for biomass energy generation and heating appliances is set to take place from February 28 to March 2. Over 50 thousand commercial visitors are anticipated for Progetto Fuoco, with 12 thousand coming from overseas.
More than 25% of Italian families already employ biomass as their primary renewable energy source for home heating. Wood-derived energy will continue to be a key component of renewable energy sources in the effort to meet the decarbonization targets by 2030. In fact, compared to over 500 grams released by a conventional stove, modern wood, pellet, and wood chip technologies today attain emission ratios of a few tens of grams per unit of thermal energy generated. Thus ensuring a decrease of more than 90% in air emissions that impact climate (CO2eq).
In Italy, the wood-energy supply chain comprises more than 14,000 enterprises, generates over 4 billion euros in revenue, and employs over 72,000 people. With more than 70% of the market, Italian technology businesses dominate the Made in Italy and European marketplaces. Progetto Fuoco, the world’s leading event devoted to heating appliances and energy generation through biomass, is scheduled to take place at the VeronaFiere from February 28 to March 2, 2024. The entire supply chain is expected to meet there and look to the future with confidence.
Boilers, grills, wood and pellet stoves, fireplaces, and other appliances are just a few of the 550 exhibiting companies that will be present at the event. Of these, 200 are from 35 foreign countries. The exhibitors will showcase all the latest products on the market on a 130-square meter exhibition area that is divided into seven pavilions and an outdoor space.
Over 50,000 trade visitors—12,000 of whom are anticipated to come from outside of Italy—will be able to closely examine at least 3,500 goods on exhibit, the majority of which will be operational because of a unique smoke extraction system. In addition to providing a comprehensive schedule of conferences, seminars, round tables, and professional update moments, the event will also offer a forum for conversation with decision makers regarding the most recent legislative developments in the fields of energy efficiency and sustainable forest management.
