The holidays have not ended yet. The winter vacations will conclude with the Epiphany on January 6, which is expected to attract a large number of tourists to Verona. The Arena will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. this weekend, then will close for a month from January 8 to February 9.
Juliet’s House during the Epiphany
However, in addition to the well-known Roman amphitheater, Verona has many other attractions, such as Juliet’s House. Until Sunday, entry to the house will follow the organizational procedures put in place for the holidays (for more details, see our article). To get there, enter from Teatro Nuovo in Piazzetta Navona. Tickets can only be purchased online, and the museum is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Sunday.
Veronese Museums
The Veronese museums are a must-see on vacation days. On Sunday, January 7, in particular, the “1 euro Sundays come back”. The initiative offers visitors the opportunity to visit the Veronese museums for just one euro on the first Sunday of the month.
Some must-see attractions are the Castelvecchio Museum, the Archaeological Museum of the Roman Theatre, and the Museum of Frescoes near Juliet’s Tomb. Popular sites also include the Museum of Natural History, the Lapidario Maffeiano, and the Achille Forti Gallery of Modern Art. All are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Sunday, with tickets available at museiverona.com.
