The horse carousel and the children’s New Year’s Eve. The Municipality of Villafranca has organized a family-friendly Christmas that immerses kids in a magical atmosphere, highlighted by the illumination of the town’s Scaliger Castle.
Children may ride the horse carousel or marvel at the lights of the spectacular 14-meter-high Christmas tree in the middle of Piazza Giovanni XXIII until January 7. The most anticipated event, however, will undoubtedly take place on December 31, when Piazza Castello in Villafranca will be turned into “Villaland” for Children’s New Year’s Eve. In addition to the six Disney characters, there will be kids dance performances and educational labs. To end on a high note, on January 6, Piazza Giovanni XXIII Square will welcome another Christmas symbol: the Befana.
