Italy, Madrid, Chelsea, Sevilla, Benfica, and Stockholm. The best teams in the junior category from all over Europe will gather this weekend in Montorio (Municipality of Verona) for the Nico nel Cuore soccer tournament. It is considered the Champions League of the category and has seen little champions grow, such as Daniel Maldini, son of Paolo, Federico Bonazzoli, and Michele di Gregorio have also participated.
On Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, September 17, there will be a two-day sports, party, and solidarity event for the 17th edition of the tournament dedicated to Nicola Invento, who passed prematurely and was a passionate soccer fan. The income, in fact, will be donated to charity to support the Mato Grosso project, which will provide concrete support to Peruvian health and education projects, as well as the Montorio group “L’idea del Mamo,” which promotes bone marrow donation.
Along with Montorio, the juniors of Inter, Juventus, Milan Atalanta, Hellas Verona, Brescia, Virtus Polisportiva, and Sarnico of Bergamo will be vying for the prize. Outside of Italy, Atletico de Madrid, Chelsea, Betis of Seville, Benfica, and Brommapojakarna of Stockholm will compete.
