The Valpolicella Wine Consortium goes to Venice to focus on modernizing presentation channels. A two-day event for national and international consumers will be held on the 5th and 6th of July.
In fact, the consortium is trying to develop a new strategic vision to suit the demands of customers who demand quality paired with increased product flexibility.
Venezia Superiore program
Two days to enhance Valpolicella wine with the goal of seasonal adjustment of consumption opportunities. The first is for national journalists in the sector, and it will begin on July 5th with an aperitif and dinner at La Locanda Cipriani, an intimate and historic restaurant on the island of Torcello. Then, on Thursday, July 6th, there will be a tasting session, with a Valpolicella Superiore workshop led by WSET educator JC Viens at the Hilton Molino Stucky Venice in Giudecca, followed by lunch at Hostaria in Certosa – Alajmo on the island of Certosa.
The second is for wine enthusiasts. On Thursday, July 6, there will be a walk-around tasting of 50 Valpolicella Doc and Valpolicella Superiore references provided by 38 wineries, together with some typical Venetian dishes. The event, which is free but requires a reservation (here is the link), will include a tasting excursion from the vintage 2013 to 2020 and will be hosted at the Loggia Maggiore della Pescheria di Rialto.
