Esa-Com, a public company based in Nogara that deals with integrated waste management in the southern basin of Verona, is launching a multilingual video guide. An innovation designed to improve communication with citizens, even those who have difficulty speaking Italian, and to promote the conscious management of waste and other company services.
The video guide, accessible online, is designed with artificial intelligence and is intuitive and personalised. Users can navigate through the content by selecting language and topic. The advice is immediate and adapted to different needs. An avatar speaks not only Italian, but also English, Arabic and Romanian, providing clear and effective communication. The topics covered in the videos, which are on average just over a minute and a half long, include waste reduction strategies, door-to-door collection, waste management, the use of collection centres, common mistakes in separate waste collection and good practices to combat the spread of mosquitoes.
Esa-Com operates in 25 municipalities with over 130,000 inhabitants, of which around 10 per cent are foreigners. The video guide is therefore a means of actively involving those who do not speak Italian and have to manage household waste. The new tool, developed in collaboration with the Achab Group, is available to everyone. It can be accessed by framing the QR code on the calendars distributed to citizens. The video guide can also be accessed via the company’s 100% waste app and the website www.esacom.it/videoguide. This project is an important step forward in our commitment to innovation and sustainability”, said President Maurizio Lorenzetti and Director Maurizio Barbati.
