Flying over the city without a parachute, going in and out of Van Gogh’s Starry Sky, appearing and disappearing and then returning exactly where you started. Prodigies that happen at the Museum of Optical Illusions between Art and Science that opened a few days ago in vicolo Santa Caterina, 26 in the centre of Verona.
In the exhibition halls, sixty installations and photographs challenge the perception of reality, the impossible becomes possible. Something similar happens to us when we are in the vortex of dreams of love and that is why Verona, the capital of romantic enchantments, could not miss the Museum of Optical Illusions between Art and Science!
Always described by captions, the works of art allow us to discover the physical, chemical and mental mysteries of perceptions and their deceptions. Objective: to recognise the pitfalls of appearances, of the mechanisms that lead us to see what is not there, to understand how our brain works – in short, to learn while having fun.
At the Museum – already very popular in Turin, Bologna, San Marino, and Naples – static images seem to be in frenetic motion, parallel lines meet, two dimensions become three, and at the Verona station it will be possible to enjoy immersive and interactive vertigo experiences in 3D environments in various scenarios.
The Museum of Optical Illusions between Art and Science is organised by the Magic Museum group, consisting of international exhibition experts who have been promoting successful exhibitions in Italy and abroad for decades.
