The countdown has begun for SOL2EXPO, which will take place at Veronafiere from Sunday, March 2, to Tuesday, March 4, 2025. After 28 editions alongside Vinitaly, SOL2EXPO is stepping into the spotlight as an independent event, doubling its exhibition space from a temporary structure to two full pavilions—a testament to the growing importance and appeal of this iconic Made in Italy product.
For the first time, SOL2EXPO will represent the entire olive and olive oil supply chain, showcasing all Italian-producing regions with a strong presence from industry associations and key players. The event offers a comprehensive perspective on olives and olive oil, covering everything from production and processing to technology, education, tourism, and consumer trends. The goal is to provide a highly experiential fair for industry professionals and visitors while highlighting Italy’s olive oil excellence on an international stage.
Official Launch and Industry Support
The official presentation of SOL2EXPO 2025 took place in Rome on February 4, with notable attendees including Federico Bricolo (President of Veronafiere), Adolfo Rebughini (General Director of Veronafiere), and Pietro Giovanni Trincanato (representing the Municipality of Verona). During the event, Denis Pantini of Nomisma presented a study titled “The Olive Oil Supply Chain: Between Competitiveness and Sustainability.” The launch was also attended by Francesco Lollobrigida (Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty, and Forestry) and Patrizio La Pietra (Undersecretary of State for Agriculture), underlining the event’s strategic importance.
An International Marketplace with Global Buyers
SOL2EXPO 2025 will host top-tier buyers and industry professionals from 27 countries, strengthening its role as a global hub for the olive and olive oil sector. Alongside domestic and international exhibitors, invited buyers from Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Brazil, South Korea, Croatia, China, Colombia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Japan, India, Ireland, Israel, Morocco, the Netherlands, the UK, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the USA, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, Hungary, and Vietnam will gather in Verona for exclusive networking opportunities.
New Features and Key Themes at SOL2EXPO 2025
This year’s edition introduces the SOL2EXPO Market Observatory, developed in collaboration with Nomisma and other institutional and private partners, providing real-time market insights and consumption trends. Additionally, a new Technical-Scientific Committee has been established to oversee research, innovation, and pressing industry topics.
Covering a wide range of focus areas—from virgin and extra virgin olive oils to by-products, specialty seed oils, nutritional oils, wellness and cosmetics, and advanced processing technologies—SOL2EXPO 2025 also expands its Evoo Days (March 3-4) training program, offering in-depth discussions on scientific, technical, and market-related topics. Meanwhile, Aipo (the Interregional Association of Olive Producers) will curate insights into technological innovation and cosmetics.
Beyond its B2B agenda, SOL2EXPO 2025 will also feature a rich consumer program, including cooking shows, workshops, guided tastings with food pairings, and olive oil-based hand and facial treatments.
