The Arena di Verona is gearing up for its 102nd Opera Festival, a grand celebration of music and art that will feature 51 nights of spectacular performances from June 13 to September 6, 2025. Behind the scenes, the festival relies on a monumental team effort, with over 1,400 workers contributing to its success. To support this vast undertaking, the Fondazione Arena di Verona has announced its search for numerous professionals to join the festival team, with opportunities for both artistic and technical roles.
The foundation is actively seeking male and female extras to bring to life iconic productions like Carmen, Aida, La Traviata, and Rigoletto, under the direction of renowned maestros such as Franco Zeffirelli, Hugo De Ana, and Stefano Poda. Poda will also helm a new production of Nabucco.
Ideal candidates should be residents or domiciliaries in the Verona area, born between 1967–1977 or 1985–2007. Full details and application requirements can be found on the official website at https://www.arena.it/en/work-with-us/recruitment/. Applications must be submitted by March 3, 2025.
More job opportunities
In addition to extras, the Arena di Verona is recruiting for a variety of positions across artistic, technical, and administrative roles, offering both temporary and permanent contracts. Year-round opportunities also exist at the Teatro Filarmonico, which is celebrating 50 years since its reopening for opera. The theatre hosts a rich program of operatic and symphonic seasons, youth events, and chamber concerts, kicking off on January 12, 2025.
