Peschiera del Garda will host one of the year’s most anticipated triathlon events, the PeschieraTRI, which has already sold out far before the official registration date. More than 2,000 athletes will compete in this classic event, which has become an institution of the Italian triathlon scene, on the weekend of October 5-6.
The 2024 edition of the PeschieraTRI is more international than ever, with 35 countries represented. The largest groups of international athletes are from Germany, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. Domestically, athletes from 18 Italian regions will compete, with Lombardia, Veneto, and Emilia-Romagna being the most prevalent.
PeschieraTRI race distances and schedule
The PeschieraTRI features three different races over the two-day event, catering to athletes of various endurance levels:
Saturday, October 5:
- Middle Distance Triathlon: Begins at 11:45, with competitors facing 1.9 km of swimming, 85 km of cycling, and 20.8 km of running.
- Olympic Distance Triathlon (no draft): Starts at 12:30, with participants completing 1.5 km of swimming, 43 km of cycling, and 9.8 km of running.
Sunday, October 6:
- Sprint Distance Triathlon: Kicking off at 13:00, this race will see athletes swimming 750 m, cycling 21.3 km, and finishing with a 5 km run. With athletes from across Europe and beyond, the PeschieraTRI continues to grow as a major event in the international triathlon calendar, combining scenic views of Peschiera del Garda with the spirit of high-level competition.
