The 22nd edition of the “Giornate della Didattica” (Education Days) will occur at the Gran Guardia in Verona from Monday, September 9, to Saturday, September 14. This event, organized by the City of Verona and funded by the Veneto office of the Ministry of Education, provides a chance to reflect on the problems and developments made in Italy’s educational system. It also intends to recognize the progress in fostering an inclusive, high-quality learning environment. The event’s highlight will be a full day of discussions on September 10 from 9 AM to 7 PM, with various talks addressing various educational topics.

This year’s edition will feature 150 information desks and over 60 free educational seminars open to the public. The event will focus on Verona’s “Territorial Educational Pacts,” which have strengthened collaboration between schools, public institutions, and local entities over the past year. These pacts highlight innovative projects that enhance the educational offerings in the city, fostering closer ties between schools, families, and the community.

Giornate della didattica’s appointments

This year’s program includes the seventh edition of “Il Museo Liquido” (The Liquid Museum), an initiative launched by Verona’s Department of Culture to redefine museum education through experiential learning. Three essential seminars for educators will be offered, emphasising the role of museums in modern education, art as a tool for overcoming loneliness, and accessible learning paths for students with disabilities.

In addition to these presentations, the event will host health-related workshops on September 13 and 14, covering topics such as first aid, CPR, and pediatric resuscitation techniques for both students and educators.

During the event, an updated edition of “Le ragazze e i ragazzi alla scoperta di Verona,” (Girls and Boys Discovering Verona) a guide to the city’s educational opportunities, will be distributed. All activities are free; however, workshops and seminars require registration.
