Luxury attracts more and more and makes Lake Garda attractive to new markets. While up to now it has been the Lombardy shore that has driven the offer of five-star hotels and resorts, super-luxury facilities are also increasing along the Veronese shore. Three are already present: Villa Cordevigo in Cavaion Veronese, Quellenhof Luxury Resort in Lazise and, last in order of opening, the Cape of Senses in Torri del Benaco. The fourth is expected in Pacengo and, like the Quellenhof, will be a Garda ‘rib’ of an Alto Adige hotel chain, in this case the Andreus Golfhotel.
The increase in supply does not affect the existing luxury facilities, at least for now. This is confirmed by Stefan Margesin, director of the Quellenhof Luxury Resort Lazise: ‘We are positively surprised by this season, we had an increase compared to last year with almost full occupancy throughout the summer, we are very satisfied. We see growth in the international market: no longer just Germany, Austria and Switzerland, but more and more guests from America, England, Scotland, Ireland, the Middle East, Finland and Sweden. And then we also notice an increase in Italians‘.
A positive balance that extends to the coming months: to date, bookings from September to December are up compared to August 2023. And then the five stars attract VIPs: mainly singers who have dates in the Arena, but also sportsmen who come to spend their holidays with their families, Formula 1 drivers and footballers.
