Friday, 23 August saw the opening of the 30th edition of the Film Festival della Lessinia: the international film festival dedicated to life, stories and traditions in the highlands of the world scheduled every year in Bosco Chiesanuova (Verona) until 1 September.
The Teatro Vittoria and the Piazza del Festival in these days are welcoming the public and the events that accompany the event: literary presentations, a calendar of workshops and excursions, exhibitions, concerts, food and wine offers.
More than thirty filmmakers, directors, actors, and actresses from many parts of the world are expected for the 30th edition of the Film Festival della Lessinia. For the public, the privileged moment to meet them will be the ‘Aperitif with the Director’: every day at 12 noon in the Piazza del Festival. The meetings will be accompanied by a tasting of products from the small producers of the GAS (Gruppo Acquisto Sociale) Lessinia.
The Film Festival della Lessinia 2024 is surprising with an innovative initiative: a cinema powered by bicycles. Spectators are not mere observers, but an active part of the event, pedalling to power the film screenings. This event, called ‘Pedalling for the Planet’, is an original way to promote film culture and raise public awareness of the importance of clean energy.
TICKETS AND SUBSCRIPTIONS
The cost of a single ticket is €6, with a reduction to €4 for children up to the age of 14. A season ticket for the entire festival can be purchased for €80. In addition, online subscriptions will be available on mymovies.co.uk from €20, with a €50 supporter option.
