Verona will open its courtyards for free on Sunday, May 26, as part of Italian Historic Houses Day. Eighteen Verona courtyards and gardens from historic palaces will be open, with one in the province and the rest in the city. In addition, a special preview event will be held in the State Archives on Saturday, May 25, at 3:00 PM.
Volunteers will welcome visitors and provide historical and artistic information about the palaces and the families that possess them. Students from Verona’s Apostolica Bertoni School — “alle Stimate” Institute will serve as guides. The State Academy of Fine Arts of Verona (AFAM) is also participating in the project. Reservations can be made at the website www.associazionedimorestoricheitaliane.it/giornatanazionale2024.
