The Traffic Plan for Pope Francis’ visit to Verona on Saturday 18 May 2024 has been defined. Two car parks at the Exhibition Centre will be free of charge with a free shuttle service connecting to the city.
There will be four moments in which the Pontiff will participate during the day: in the morning at the headquarter of San Zeno in the square and in the basilica; in the Arena for the ‘Arena of Peace’ meeting; at the Montorio prison for lunch with prisoners; in the afternoon at the Bentegodi Stadium for Mass with the faithful.
The four moments will mobilise around 50 thousand people, but 100 thousand are expected in the city to see and greet the Holy Father during one of his passages. Despite this, the city will remain liveable and usable as on all other days, as guaranteed by the Municipality of Verona, which has set up a dedicated site with all the necessary information (traffic, parking, shuttle buses, pass collection and useful numbers to call in case of need): https://visitapapa.chiesadiverona.it/
