The Municipality of Bussolengo is preparing for a month of events in May, with the return of some of the events that were so successful in previous years as well as some interesting new ones. As every year, spring brings with it the scent of roses. On Saturday, May 4, and Sunday, May 5, the Rose Festival will return to the streets of the city.
As usual, flowers will be the protagonists of the festival, thanks to the floricultural exhibition in Piazza 26 Aprile, with many varieties of plants and flowers, some of them very special, coming from all over the world. Among them is the special Valentine’s rose, produced and marketed by the Flover flower company. All the flowers are on sale.
In Piazza della Libertà, you can visit the handicraft and gift market with original creations and many curiosities to discover: jewelry, handmade clothes in natural cotton and hemp, candles made of flowers and stones, essence holders for perfume cabinets and wardrobes, tablecloths, and decorative cushions. Items made from materials brought back from the sea and raw wood that takes on unique shapes. Among the market stalls, many proposals are made with materials that nature generously gives us for a spring shopping spree of creativity, with a mix of colours and scents that will delight the eyes and the mood.
Via Mazzini, Via Borghetto and Piazza Nuova will host the stalls of the Forte dei Marmi market. Here you can find the best of the Tuscan and Italian tradition of quality craftsmanship: clothing, leather goods of the highest quality (bags and shoes), fine fabrics, household linen, porcelain, jewellery and refined textiles.
