From the sci-fi universe of Star Wars to science narrated by the populariser Luca Perri in art “Astrowiki”. The exhibition dedicated to modelling enthusiasts broadens its horizons and returns to Veronafiere on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 March. A weekend packed with appointments that, in addition to scale models, also looks at sectors such as gaming, comics and videogames, and welcomes pop culture icons.
Spread over five pavilions and 10 themed areas, as well as an outdoor area with a track for model car races, Model Expo Italy confirms itself as the leading exhibition in the model-making sector, thanks also to a calendar of 150 events and shows. A total of 500 exhibitors and more than 100 associations are present at the fair, ready to showcase a unique world.
Static and dynamic modelling. In the more traditional vein of Model Expo, there are areas dedicated to model cars, model railways, model aircraft, and model ships. For four-wheel enthusiasts, there are 15 tracks on which to watch and compete vehicles of all types, from radio-controlled models to off-road ones, in a programme of races and demonstrations including rallying and drifting, in Hall 10. Trains are the protagonists in Hall 11, with an area dedicated to railways and models in different scales (from H0 to N), with realistic reproductions of stations by the sea or in the mountains. Also not to be missed are the competitions scheduled in the flight area in Hall 10, such as the FPV drone racing competition, organised by a delegation of the Italian FPV Cup, inside a 900-square-metre aviary. Static modelling is also synonymous with Gunpla Builders Veneto, a group specialised in assembling and painting model armoured robots inspired by the Japanese cult series Mobile Suit Gundam.
