Veneto Local Police cars will have multilingual inscriptions. Following the Italian language (‘Polizia Locale’), you may see translations in at least two other languages: ‘Local Police,’ ‘Stadtpolizei,’ ‘Policía Local,’ ‘Police Locale.’”
Veneto is one of the most visited areas in Italy. It has also lately risen to thetop of the list of beach attractions in the countryand is now set to host the Milan-Cortina Olympic Games in 2026. As a result, the region decided to include wording in multiple languages to assist foreign tourists in quickly locating a reference point in an emergency.
Since the requirement was proposed by the local authorities most affected by the international presence, it will be implemented in the municipalities that most need it.
