Bus to come back to Lake Garda after the opera. Opera Bus Service is the connection proposed for the 2023 season in the Arena, with departures half an hour after the end of the shows to allow tourists of all the towns of Garda to enjoy an evening in the Arena without having to return by taxi.
It is a service directed exclusively at opera’s spectators staying in Benaco, who, thanks to the connection, may easily reach Peschiera, Lazise, Bardolino, Garda, Torri del Benaco, Brenzone, and Malcesine at the end of the performances. In the months of June, July, August, and September, following all evenings in the Arena, a personalized Opera Festival bus will depart from Piazza Bra 30 minutes after the end, giving spectators enough time to exit quietly and walk to the stop.
The connection is proposed again after the success of last year: from 17 June to 4 September 2022, the busses have carried out approximately fifty runs, transported more than two thousand passengers and filled the means with the average of 80%. This year, in view of the centenary of the Arenian opera season, Verona expects even higher numbers in terms of tourism that will also touch the lake area, for this reason Federalberghi Garda Veneto has decided to finance the special transport project of ATV (Azienda Trasporti di Verona).
Useful information
Tickets are 12 euros and include only return transportation from the Arena to the Lake. In terms of the outward travel, the following bus routes are available: 163, 164, and 185 (here summer timetable).
Reservations are required at https://www.linkavel.com/, where you can enter the starting point from the Arena (selecting “Verona Opera Bus Service Piazza Bra Arena C”) and the final stop. Alternatively, you can use the Verona Bus Ticket App to get your ticket even faster.
It is therefore an initiative that aims to give a plus to all the tourist companies of the territory to confirm an increasingly close connection between Lake Garda and Verona.
