Samoter (fair), Hellas (football) and Il Volo (concert): the three big events that will boost traffic in Verona.  

The maxi construction site for the trolleybus has started. The police are working to organize the traffic in the most effective way possible but the area that remains more difficult is still around Porta Palio, already the center of the Veronese road network before the start of construction works. If the first days have been quite chaotic, the traffic is trying to gradually resume its normal course. Even yesterday, May 2, despite the rain and the return to normal work after the holidays of first May, the traffic was better than expected. Buses on time and smooth traffic suggest a start of stabilization of the new road network.  

Today, however, Wednesday, May 3, are expected three major events that will bring to Verona many people: the Samoter exhibition, the football match between Hellas Verona and Inter, and the concert of Il Volo. The city and local police have therefore already arranged a special plan for today.  

First of all, the Samoter exhibition, the main Italian exhibition for the construction machinery sector, will begin today. The fair will last until Sunday, May 7 and, given its international importance, it will bring many people in the city of Verona. In terms of parking, free shuttle buses that will depart from the parking lot of the Genovesa have already been established. In addition, for Samoter visitors, parking spaces of the fair P3, P4 multi-storey and P7 have been opened and the entrance will be possible from the Parking Re Teodorico.  

Secondly, this evening also the stadium area will be at the center of Verona’s traffic. At 21, in fact, at the Bentegodi stadium it will begin the delicate match Hellas Verona-Inter. With the Veronese team looking for points and Inter’s players aiming for the Champions League.  

Finally, always at 21, Il Volo will be in Arena for the second concert of the season. The tickets already sold out and the success of the first evening of May 1 can presage the traffic situation of the historical center.  

Then, on Thursday, there will also be Piazza dei Sapori, an event in Piazza Bra that will last until May 7. Also in this case the municipality will provide some shuttles to facilitate travel and relieve traffic.
